O-Week task.

The best creative work during high school had to be my visual arts major work. If it wasnt my best creative work....i should be ashamed. So this is my painting which originally was based on the stained glass windows of churches and the how the shapes teselate. As the year progressed my concept changed from stained glass to and form of abstraction. A greener shade was incorporated and my windows becames flowers and the three canvas' was turned to a garden made by shapes and texture.

Underneath the many layers of acrylic paint is modelling past which covers the whole canvas. The groves and ditches in the painting create texture and tone in the colour which gives the painting a more three dimensional feel. In the end i got eighty-eight in my hsc submission. and the work was title "garden of eden".

The Burj Al Arab caught my attention with the obviously inspired architectural design. The idea of using sails as the basic idea has often created buildings of fame, such as our opera house in sydney harbour. This exterior shape allows for the hotel to have the tallest atrium in the world. The locations of this building is isolated from the rest of dubai as it sits on an island out in the water, making its design suit its environment.

I dont really know why the helicopter pad shoots out randomly as if it was stuck on in the last minute..but as they made it a tennis court, it has become the craziest spot for a court. Netherless i like how a buildings design can be inspired but the world around us.
