O week task continued

For my final image i had to choose something that was considered beautiful. I chose this shoe as it shows my personal interests where as another person may only see this as another pair of shoes. This shoe is part of nike's "air force ones" collection and is a very popular shoe style in hip/hop as well as urban culture and fashion. However apart from the popularity, this shoe is unique as this design is one of a kind. The creator of the design is Fukijama and this shoe to me is considered more as an artwork than just an ordinary air force one. Before the hundreds of different air force one designs, this one i can classify as beautiful because of its graffiti style text convering sections of the shoes. The black and gold gives its a more prestige look, altogether making this shoe a work of art.

O-Week task.

The best creative work during high school had to be my visual arts major work. If it wasnt my best creative work....i should be ashamed. So this is my painting which originally was based on the stained glass windows of churches and the how the shapes teselate. As the year progressed my concept changed from stained glass to and form of abstraction. A greener shade was incorporated and my windows becames flowers and the three canvas' was turned to a garden made by shapes and texture.

Underneath the many layers of acrylic paint is modelling past which covers the whole canvas. The groves and ditches in the painting create texture and tone in the colour which gives the painting a more three dimensional feel. In the end i got eighty-eight in my hsc submission. and the work was title "garden of eden".

The Burj Al Arab caught my attention with the obviously inspired architectural design. The idea of using sails as the basic idea has often created buildings of fame, such as our opera house in sydney harbour. This exterior shape allows for the hotel to have the tallest atrium in the world. The locations of this building is isolated from the rest of dubai as it sits on an island out in the water, making its design suit its environment.

I dont really know why the helicopter pad shoots out randomly as if it was stuck on in the last minute..but as they made it a tennis court, it has become the craziest spot for a court. Netherless i like how a buildings design can be inspired but the world around us.
